Returns, Refunds & Your Legal Rights

1. Personalised Products — No Right of Withdrawal

Please read this section carefully before completing your order.

YUNEXA does not sell plain stock garments. Every order is produced to your individual specifications: you supply or select the artwork, and you determine the design, its size in millimetres, its position on the garment and the print areas used. Together with your choice of garment, colour and size, these individual determinations decide how the finished product is made. The result is a single item created for you that cannot be reproduced for or supplied to any other customer.

Where a product is produced in this way, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is excluded under § 312g (2) no. 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB), which implements Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU. That provision covers goods that are:

  • not prefabricated and made on the basis of an individual choice or decision by the consumer that is decisive for their production, or
  • clearly tailored to the consumer's personal requirements.

This exclusion applies from the moment your order is placed. It does not depend on whether we have already started producing your item. Once your order is submitted, you therefore cannot return, exchange, cancel or obtain a refund for it because you have changed your mind, selected the wrong size, or no longer want the design.

Where an order consists of a base garment together with one or more print or personalisation items, these form one single, indivisible personalised product. They are shown separately on your invoice for pricing transparency only and cannot be separated, returned or refunded individually.

Before you complete your order you are asked to confirm expressly that you understand this. Your confirmation is recorded with your order.

Please check before you confirm

Take a moment to review your design preview, your artwork, any text you have entered, and the selected garment, colour, size and print position. Size charts are shown on every product page, and we are glad to advise you before you order.

None of the above affects your statutory rights if the goods are faulty or not what you ordered. Those rights are set out in section 3 and cannot be limited by this policy.

2. Orders Placed in Our Studio

Where your order is negotiated and concluded entirely in person at our studio, with both parties present, no distance contract and no off-premises contract arises within the meaning of §§ 312b and 312c BGB. The statutory right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to such purchases, independently of the exclusion described in section 1.

Please note that this section does not cover orders placed through our website which you then collect from the studio. Those remain distance contracts and are governed by section 1.

You receive a receipt for every studio purchase. Your statutory rights under section 3 apply in full.

3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items — Your Statutory Rights

These rights apply to every product we sell, online and in our studio, and cannot be restricted by this policy.

As a consumer you have statutory rights in respect of defects (gesetzliche Rechte bei Mängeln) under §§ 434 ff. BGB. Claims for defects are generally subject to a two-year limitation period running from delivery. Any statutory extension or suspension of that period remains unaffected, as do the statutory rules on the burden of proof in your favour.

Please contact us if your item:

  • arrives damaged or defective,
  • is not the product, colour or size you ordered,
  • differs from the design you approved, or
  • develops a manufacturing or print fault.

Write to service@yunexa.com with your order number and clear photographs of the issue. Contacting us early helps us resolve matters quickly, but your statutory rights do not depend on any deadline set by us.

How we put things right

Where your item is defective you are entitled to subsequent performance under § 439 BGB. You may choose between having the item repaired and having a replacement supplied. We may refuse the option you choose only where it would involve disproportionate cost, in which case we will explain why and provide the other remedy. In practice, a printed item is normally replaced rather than repaired.

We bear the costs necessary for subsequent performance, including any return shipping. Where the statutory conditions are met you may also reduce the price or withdraw from the contract.

Characteristics that are not normally considered defects

The following may be normal characteristics of custom textile printing, provided the finished product remains within the specifications and production tolerances disclosed to you before your purchase:

  • Minor colour differences between your screen and the printed result. Screens display colour differently and no digital preview can be an exact colour match.
  • Variations in print position within the production tolerance stated on the product page.
  • Natural variations in fabric texture, weave and shade between production batches.
  • Reduced print sharpness where you uploaded a low-resolution file and chose to continue after being shown a specific on-screen quality warning and a preview of the expected result.
  • Spelling, wording or layout errors already present in artwork or text supplied or approved by you, and reproduced by us without alteration.
  • Deterioration caused by care contrary to the care instructions, or by normal wear.

This list describes typical production characteristics. It does not exclude your statutory rights, and it does not apply where the finished item falls outside the disclosed tolerances or where the fault was caused by us.

4. Business Customers

Where you purchase in the course of your trade, business or profession, you are not a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB. The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to business customers in any event, and separate terms apply to warranty periods and to your duty to inspect and give notice of defects under § 377 HGB. Please refer to our Terms of Service for business customers.

5. Refund Processing

Where a refund is due — for example following a justified claim under section 3 — it is issued to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider it may take up to 10 business days after we have processed the refund for the amount to reach your account. This processing time is outside our control.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund and you have not received it, please contact us at service@yunexa.com.
